Traditional Classical Schooling of the horse and human dating back through the centuries.

People of all ages and abilities. Horses from mare and foal handling to Grand Prix and Horte Ecole.

Since my teens I have extensively studied the traditional schooling of horse and human in Classical Horsemanship. My studies have taken me back as far as the Greeks dating 450BC. I have also extensively studied the bio mechanics of horse and human, their working relationship not only as individuals, also as a team. Stallion handling, herd behavior, psychology of the horse and human. I’ve many times assisted veterinarians in the field with medical procedures and autopsies for diagnosis purposes. I also do all hoof trimming of my horses.

All horses are started with full education of in-hand and lunge before being ridden.
Not only for the horse to learn the requirements of whats to be expected in the future riding but also for the future rider to have full understanding of what it requires for the horse to do in order to be capable to successfully achieve the desired goals.

All students who start lessons on my own horses do so on the lunge. I firstly educate the rider balance and movement on a individual basis, we are all humans yet we are all different body shapes, with different pelvic and physical differences between female and male. You will learn exercises testing your ambidextrousness or lack of, brain function over our physical body, and emotions with our energy forces. Meditation of ‘going into the bubble’. I educate the rider how to feel the horses movements, how to move their body in relation to the horses body without having to create it from the horse … I do that part.
To enjoy learning how to understand the secrets of seamless communication between horse and human.

When humans work with horses, horses know how to be horses, they have survived through the ice age existing for over 50 million years and evolving 5 times. Horses do not have problems with people, horses can only communicate physically and still have their sixth sense intact, humans communicate verbally and react / respond to visual and majority are shut off to their sixth sense. Which is why all mammal animals can tell what your thinking, when you think the brain sends electrical pulses through your body and energy field, even if your trying to visually show a different emotion the mammal animal reads the energy and can also see that your actions are not matching!

I teach to open up the human to be a full human being, aware of every sense of self, whether your physically able bodied or not. To communicate to the horse the human must learn to quieten their mind of all the busyness of life, the horse has no understanding or interest in your chaos, being a prey animal they are actually threatened by it.

I was raised on a 81 acre working farm in Helensville north west of Auckland city New Zealand.
My parents Pat and Ray Kennedy bred horses and cattle, ran a riding school, hosted pony club, show jumping and one day eventing competitions.
We took in ‘rogue’ horses, deemed unfit for use due to ‘behavioral’ problems! My mother put a sign up in the saddling area which read … “There are no problem horses – Only problem riders and handlers” I read this sign everyday, actually several times a day … I needed to learn to understand what this quotation fully meant? So my journey into the history of humans and horses began.
